Hi there,

I’m Isabella, a playwright from Auckland, New Zealand.

In recent years, my shows have been staged in sold-out and extended seasons, both at home and in Australia. 

My work has been described as "zingy...clever...and immensely watchable" (Theatreview), “crack-up, lyrical, and poignant” (Bad Apple) and “terrifyingly real” (Rat World Magazine).​

Together with director Harriett Maire, I co-lead extracurricular, making theatre and film that explores the complex intricacies of the human experience through storytelling that is sharp, punchy, and full of heart. 

I was recently awarded development funding from Creative New Zealand's Early Career Fund - Toi Tipu Toi Rea to create a new theatre project - watch this space!
